Tradition And Passion

A present to be cultivated

In San Severo, the art of wine has been at home since the days of Rome: already Tibullio, Pliny the Elder and Orazio wove their praises in their writings. Since then, the production techniques have changed and refined, but the land of San Severo and its exceptional microclimate have always remained unchanged. As well as the care that countless generations of farmers have dedicated to the selection of the best strains and vines. The same that today thrive on the lands of Tenuta Coppadoro, generating enological gems of incomparable texture. The native vines are those of tradition.

Montepulciano, Nero di Troia, Aglianico, and Bombino. Alongside these, Tenuta Coppadoro chose to plant native vines to harmonize with the local ones in a perfect blend: Cabernet-Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc.

In the three vineyards of Contrada Ratino, Contrada Cotinone and Contrada Coppadoro, the dream of great wines Tenuta Coppadoro is today a reality made of figures: 125 hectares in full production, in addition to the 40 hectares not yet planted that await full employment. The average yield per hectare is about 90 quintals for the classic line and 60 for the Riserve line. With an ambitious goal but without unnecessary excesses: to achieve, once fully operational, a total production of 3,000,000 bottles.
